Salento Dolce Vita was born from a passion for authentic Italian flavors and the desire to share the rich culinary heritage of Southern Italy with everyone. From humble beginnings, we have become a favorite destination for gelato and Italian cuisine lovers.

OUR FOUNDER - Fersini Michele Donato

He grew up in Switzerland, shaped by Swiss rigor and precision. He inherited two family traditions: a father from Lecce (Salento) and a mother from Avellino, raised in Rome — spending every summer reconnecting with his Italian roots, surrounded by olive trees and the warmth of Southern Italy. His passion led him to Bologna, the capital of artisan gelato, where he not only learned recipes but absorbed the soul of the craft: respect for ingredients, harmony of textures, and honesty in flavor.
